Creative Problem Solving

What are the benefits of Creative Problem Solving?

Rather than addressing business issues from a technique-led perspective, we combine research methodologies to ensure that we have looked at a problem from all possible angles.

Our creative problem solving workshops help address complex marketing, research and business issues. We are experts at seeking solutions to problems creatively. This is needed more and more these days because decision making has become increasingly complex, markets have become more competitive and opportunities to gain an advantage are now more limited. The creative problem solving process can look at tough business problems and issues in a different way and help find actionable and insightful ideas.

We have extensive experience in working with teams and groups of all sizes and types.

Our aim is to improve on the standard brainstorming technique, where results can be very hit or miss. We follow a tried and tested process which has a pre-defined structure and follows the following eight key rules.

  1. Define the session objectives at the very beginning
  2. Ensure that all participants know their role and are committed to the process
  3. Allow time for all ideas to be thoroughly explored
  4. Only allow a highly experience facilitator to run the session
  5. Make sure that there is thorough knowledge about consumer needs
  6. Encourage people to have fun
  7. Work very hard throughout the day, but ensure regular and quality breaks
  8. Make sure that nobody leaves the session without an action checklist

We recognize the need to:

  • Step away from daily business demands and focus on finding solutions to key challenges in an environment conducive to thinking
  • Harness the resource of all the team to work to the content; we take care of the process
  • Respect that everyone has their own professional and personal contribution to make; we ensure they have the opportunity be they extrovert or introvert

Workshops can address a number of different issues including business evaluation, marketing strategy, competitive planning, concept development and new product development.
